Lancashire fire service latest anti drink-driving message parody’s the latest series of Netflix hit, Bridgerton.
The third series of the period drama features society papers written by the character Lady Whistledown, and now, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service has published a letter in the same style, from ‘Chief Whistledown.’
A post on social media says:
‘Who's spent the weekend binge watching season three of Bridgerton?
‘We've got Chief Whistledown's latest society paper...’

The letter reads:
Dearest Readers,
A most urgent matter has come to my attention regarding the perils of our roadways. It appears some among us still dare to drink before taking the reins of their modern chariots, which puts everyone in danger.
Our Fire Service strongly urges you to never drink and drive.
Let’s keep our cherished community safe by ensuring every driver remains clear-headed and responsible.
Yours sincerely,
Chief Whistledown
P.S. Safety and sobriety are always in fashion.
Bridgerton is based on a series of novels by author Julia Quinn, and follows members of the Bridgerton family living in London's high society during the 1800s.
