The MP for Lancaster has visited a local school to talk to pupils about sport and mental well-being.
Cat Smith paid a visit to Ellel St John's school in Galgate where she presented a certificate of commendation recognising the work the school has done in football.
Ms Smith also watched a dance performance from pupils during the visit.
The MP said it was "good to be able to talk about the mental and physical health benefits of playing sport".
Later that day, she met up with Ellel parish councillor Lisa Corkerry to discuss the concerns Lisa had about litter in the village.
"Lisa brought along a bin bag and some litter pickers," said Ms Smith.
"That’s what I call a councillor getting her hands dirty serving her community. Well done Lisa!"
