A first look at a main visitor experience at the Eden Project Morecambe has been revealed as a new hub for the scheme is set to open in the town.
The striking new image shows inside the Realm of the Moon, an atmospheric and theatrical indoor world inspired by the tides, lunar cycles and ecology of Morecambe Bay.
The release of the image coincides with the solar eclipse, a rare alignment of the Sun, Moon and Earth.

At the heart of the Realm of the Moon will be the Tidal Theatre, described by Eden as "a dynamic immersive space where shallow water will gently ebb and flow around visitors’ feet as the rhythms of the Bay are brought to life through media, performance, puppetry, lighting, sound and special effects".
The Realm of the Moon will be one of two major immersive experiences at Eden Project Morecambe, alongside the Realm of the Sun, home to the Elder Tree, a striking 20-metre immersive exhibit celebrating the life-giving power of sunlight.

“The eclipse this week is a powerful reminder that we live in rhythm with the Sun and Moon, marking a powerful transition and renewal even if we do not always stop to notice it," said Andy Jasper, the Eden Project CEO who is overseeing the charity’s new destination in Morecambe.
“The Realm of the Moon will take that idea and make it unforgettable. Visitors will feel the tide rise around them, see moonlight reflected in real water and experience the extraordinary life of Morecambe Bay through spectacle, performance and play.
“This new image gives a first glimpse of what we are creating: a magical, immersive theatre that is rooted in the ecology, culture and stories of the Bay, and designed to inspire people of all ages to see the natural world differently.”
An Eden Project spokesperson said: "Inspired by the natural geometries, beauty and efficiency of seashells, the architecture of the Realms will be instantly recognisable and will be an emblem of sustainability with a deep connection to place, respecting and complementing the highly valued heritage landmarks nearby.

"Together, the two realms will form the heart of Eden Project Morecambe’s visitor experience, exploring the overarching theme of Nature’s Rhythms: the patterns and systems that sustain life on Earth, the ways they are being disrupted by human activity, and what can be done to restore balance for people and planet."
Eden said Realm of the Moon has been made possible with support from the Garfield Weston Foundation, one of several major public and philanthropic donations helping to deliver Eden Project Morecambe, alongside support from the UK Government Investment Fund.
Work is due to start on the first part of the new £100m attraction on the central Promenade, the 1.5 acre 'Bring Me Sunshine Garden', later this month.
Construction of the shell-inspired superstructures will then begin in winter 2026.
The Eden Project Morecambe is scheduled to open in winter 2028.
A new Eden Project Morecambe hub will also officially open inside a unit at the Winter Gardens theatre (below) this Saturday, to coincide with the Morecambe Maritime Festival that day.
An Eden spokesperson said more information is due on the new hub later this week.
Eden Project Morecambe is being delivered by the world-renowned educational charity Eden Project, working in partnership with Lancaster City Council, Lancashire County Council and Lancaster University.
Once complete, the world-class destination will transform Morecambe’s central promenade into a vibrant, year-round attraction, delivering long-term social, environmental, cultural and economic benefits for Morecambe, Lancashire and the wider North West.
Site investigation work took place on the site of the Bring Me Sunshine Garden last month.
This followed a 'Breaking Ground Ceremony' at the site in June, attended by hundreds of people, marking the first official 'spade in the ground' on the Eden Project Morecambe land.
Earlier this year, VINCI Building were announced as the main contractors for the project, and the 'Bring Me Sunshine Garden' won two awards at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in London.
