The face of a Lancaster supermarket described as a "true gent and legend" has celebrated his 90th birthday.
David Lupton, who works at Booths in Scotforth on Fridays and Saturdays, turned 90 on Tuesday.
"Today is a very special day here at Booths as one of our colleagues, David Lupton, turns 90," said a post on the BoothsCountry Facebook page.
"David's been part of The Family Grocers for 27 years, helping create a fantastic experience at your Scotforth store every weekend.
"Thank you David for everything you do and we hope you've had a brilliant birthday."
David told BBC Radio Lancashire: "They're a good company to work for, I've never retired.
"I like it. They're very kind. I've enjoyed it.
"I've nothing else to do, so I might as well do that!"
Many well-wishers posted birthday messages to David on the BoothsCountry page.
Michael said: "Worked with Dave for five years, a true gent and legend."
Audrey said: "Happy birthday David, my neighbour for six months in 2024, not to mention being the face of the Scotforth store for many years, hope you have had a fabulous birthday."
And Lauren said: "Awww it wouldn’t be the same without him! Loved working with him many years ago and my girls adore him."
