An award winning TV chef from Lancaster has announced she will be leaving her role at a renowned luxury hotel and restaurant after 23 years.
Lisa Goodwin-Allen said "the time has come for me to move on and explore new opportunities" after more than two decades at Northcote in the Ribble valley.
Lisa, who went to Carnforth High School, is a regular chef on the hit ITV show James Martin's Saturday Morning and has also appeared on television cooking programmes Masterchef: The Professionals, The Great British Menu and Snackmasters.
She posted the announcement on her social media on Monday.
It said: "Okay here we go!!!
"After 23 amazing years at Northcote, the time has come for me to move on and explore new opportunities.
"I am incredibly proud of everything we have accomplished at Northcote and, more recently, across the Stafford Collection.
"The journey has been nothing short of amazing and it has been an honour to lead such an exceptional team.
"I am also thankful for the opportunity Craig Bancroft and all the team at Northcote have given me.
"I am leaving with the happiest of memories, after more than two decades it will always have a special place in my heart!
"I am excited to see what happens next and exploring all new opportunities, whatever they may be.
"While this is a bittersweet moment, I wish the team continued success in the years ahead.
"Big love Lisa."
Lisa became interested in cookery at school, then studied at Lancaster and Morecambe College.
After graduating, she worked in several prestigious restaurants, including the two Michelin-starred Le Champignon Sauvage in Gloucester, before arriving at Northcote.
After joining Northcote aged 20, became chef de partie after a year, junior sous chef the following year then at the age of 23 was named head chef, one of the youngest chefs to take on the role in a Michelin starred kitchen at the time.
Since then she has helped to maintain the restaurant’s Michelin Star which it has held continuously since 1996.
Lisa is also director of The Game Bird and American Bar at The Stafford in London, is well known for her charity work and has won numerous awards.
Her father, the late Ken Allen, was well known for his auto wreckers yard at White Lund.
