The Morecambe Colour Dash fundraising event for St John's Hospice has been postponed.
The event on Morecambe Promenade, in which participants are plastered with powdered paint while running or walking 5km, has been rescheduled due to the forecast of inclement weather this weekend.
Originally due to take place this Sunday (September 24), it will now happen on Sunday October 15.
A spokesperson for St John's Hospice, the organisers, said:
"We will be hosting our Morecambe Colour Dash on the revised date of Sunday 15th of October with just as much fun and colour!
"We have had to make the very difficult decision to reschedule Sundays Morecambe Colour Dash in light of the forecasted weather.
"An event like this isn’t possible to host in the heavy rain as predicted due to the nature of the powdered paint we use in the dash. We also have to take in consideration the safety of all of our participants.
