A Morecambe woman who has worked for our local health trust for more than 30 years has been appointed to the role of Chief Nursing Information Officer.
Janet Manning has been appointed to the new role at the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust (UHMBT) and will be a "powerful voice for nursing across the trust".
Janet, who attended Lancaster Road Primary and Morecambe High schools, has worked for UHMBT since 1991, most recently as Patient Safety Matron.
She has a wealth of nursing experience, mainly in oncology, endocrine medicine, as ward manager in general medicine and in the Clinical Skills team.
Janet will report directly to the Deputy Chief Nurse and will work closely with the trust's new Chief Clinical Information Officer, Dr William Lumb, to provide the vision and strategy for clinical information systems across the trust's hospital and community services.
