A man who filmed himself having sex with teenage girls in Lancaster and then shared the images has been jailed.
Reuben Fleet secretly filmed himself having sex with each victim on separate occasions. One of the victims was unaware that she was being filmed at the time, and Fleet later showed the videos on his phone to his friends.
At the time of the two offences, both of the girls were under 18. Fleet began his offending in his late teens, and the most recent report was when he was 20. The offences happened in the Lancaster area.
Fleet, 20 of no fixed abode, was arrested, charged, and he later pleaded guilty at Preston Crown Court to eight offences, including one count of sexual activity with a child and seven counts relating to making, taking and sharing indecent images of children.
He was jailed for five years and ordered to sign the sex offenders register for life.
In an excerpt of her Victim Personal Statement, one victim said: “I remember the first time we met, and he tried to kiss me outside, and then told me I made him feel like a paedophile. I was 16 and he was 20.”
Speaking about the indecent video of her recorded by Fleet, she said: “I made it very clear that that had to be deleted and he had assured me it had been. Obviously, that wasn’t true. To this day I find it very difficult to trust people.’’
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: ‘’Fleet is a despicable, perverted individual.
‘’He filmed his victims for his own sordid interests, either without them knowing or with their knowledge before lying to them to say he had deleted the footage.
‘’The victims in this case showed real strength, coming forward and telling a trusted adult about the images of them circulating online. We can only praise them for the way they have held themselves during proceedings.
‘’What Fleet did is not ok. It is illegal and he has been brought to justice for his actions. If you or someone you know has been the victim of any sexual offence, we want you to know that you can tell us about it, and we will listen, investigate thoroughly and do all we can to get you justice.’’
