An underwater diving team says they found 'no sign' of missing man Daniel Hives while out searching for him in Lancaster this weekend.
Volunteer search and recovery team Beneath the Surface said they had searched a number of areas for Mr Hives, who went missing in Lancaster close to the River Lune on December 10 2022.
The Chorley-based team, who help families search for missing loved ones using sonar technology and scuba diving skills, said they has concluded this weekend's search and would be identifying and planning any other potential search areas.
Robbie Hives, Daniel's brother, posted on the 'Join the Search to Find Daniel Hives' Facebook page following this weekend's search.
He said: "Would like to say a massive thank you to the Beneath the Surface team who conducted a search for us and although we haven’t found him, it could open other potential search area or leads to do with his disappearance."

A Beneath the Surface spokesperson said: "This weekend we have been out in Lancaster searching for Daniel Hives who has been missing since 10th December 2022.
"With a number of areas searched there is still no sign of Dan.
"The weekend's search has concluded to identify and plan any other potential search areas.
"We urge anyone with any information about what happened to Dan on the 10th December 2022 or his whereabouts since to please contact Lancashire Police. This can be anonymously."

Earlier in the week, a post on the Beneath the Surface Facebook page said:

"We can confirm that we have been in contact with Daniel's family members for some time and there are plans in place to assist in the upcoming weeks.
"Any details will only be released at request or with expressed permission from Daniel's direct family."
Extensive searches have taken place since Daniel’s disappearance and these are continuing.
They include searches organised by friends and family, who most recently gathered at the Millennium Bridge on March 29 to mark his 29th birthday.
A public Facebook group 'Join the Search to Find Daniel Hives' has also been set up.

Daniel was last seen on the night of December 10 2022 leaving an address in City View, Sidings Close, Lancaster, which is close to the River Lune.
The dad-of-one, who who has links to Preston, is described as 6ft tall, of slim build, with short brown hair. When he was last seen, he was wearing a blue Hugo Boss tracksuit and black trainers.
