Organisers of an Armed Forces Day event in Morecambe have provided an update on a planned air display and paid tribute following the death of an RAF pilot in Lincolnshire.
Sqn Ldr Mark Long was killed when the Spitfire he was flying near RAF Coningsby crashed in a field on Saturday.
The RAF has taken the decision to ground the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight while an investigation takes place.
The popular air display featuring the Lancaster Bomber is due to be a major attraction at Lancaster & Morecambe District Armed Forces Day on Morecambe Promenade on Saturday June 22.
A spokesperson for the Lancaster & Morecambe District Armed Forces Day provided an update via Facebook on Wednesday, and paid tribute to Sqn Ldr Long.
"Following the devastating news of the death of RAF pilot Sqn Ldr Mark Long, we have engaged with the RAF Display Team on the availability of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) Lancaster Bomber.
"As can be understood, an investigation must be held as to the cause of the incident which has grounded all aircraft within the BBMF.
"Currently, the Lancaster Bomber has not been cancelled. However, this may change depending on the investigation which the Armed Forces Day committee fully support.
"The team would like to offer our deepest condolences to Mark's friends and family. Our thoughts are also with our friends at the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and RAF Coningsby following this tragic incident.
"There will be a one minute applause at 14:54 whether the Lancaster Bomber will be attending or not. Afterwards, we intend on having a tribute reading for Sqn Ldr Mark Long, provided by Beyond Radio."

Group Captain Robbie Lees, Commander Display Air Wing at the RAF, also paid tribute to Sqn Ldr Long.
"Mark was a Typhoon pilot here at RAF Coningsby and for the last four years, he has been a pilot with the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight," he said.
"A great friend, colleague, and a passionate, professional aviator, he will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
"An investigation into the cause of this tragic event has now begun. The RAF will not be offering any comment on the accident until that investigation has concluded, and likewise, we ask others not to speculate.
"I would like to extend a sincere thank you to the RAF personnel and our emergency services colleagues who responded so swiftly yesterday.
"Our thoughts remain with Mark's family and friends to whom we offer our deepest sympathies. We ask that their privacy be respected at this tragic and shocking time."
