A memorial bench in tribute to two-year-old George Hinds, who lost his life in a gas explosion in Heysham in 2021, has been unveiled this morning at Happy Mount Park.
Morecambe motorcycling legend John McGuinness MBE and George's brother Ethan unveiled the bench, accompanied by fundraiser Steve Trainor and Councillor Margaret Pattison.
George's parents Steve and Vicky were the first to sit on the bench, which is etched with a photo of George and is located opposite his favourite play park.
It was George's fourth birthday yesterday.
There was a big turnout for the unveiling in the park on Saturday morning.
George's dad Steve Hinds spoke to Beyond Radio with his thoughts about the memorial bench
