Appeal after bin deliberately set on fire near Lancaster bus station

There’s an appeal for information after a bin was set on fire outside the bus station in Lancaster.

The blaze on Wednesday (June 24) caused significant damage, meaning one of the units must now be replaced.

A spokesperson for Lancaster City Council said: ‘’[The cost of replacement] will be using money that could have supported other facilities for our communities.

‘’CCTV footage has been shared with the police.

‘’Bin fires are not just acts of vandalism; they are dangerous.’’
