Lancaster City Council has appealed for information after recently-installed public bins were spraypainted with graffiti.

The mini bin hub is at the junction of Bulk Road and Langdale Road in Lancaster.

"The hub was provided to benefit the local community and graffiti like this costs time and money to clean up — resources that could be better served elsewhere," said a Lancaster City Council spokesperson.

"If you have any information about who may be responsible, please contact the police on 101.

"Graffiti and other environmental issues can easily be reported through the Love Clean Streets app."
