A by-election will be held after a Green resigned from Lancaster City Council.
Isabella Metcalf-Riener has stepped down as a councillor for Castle ward, a Lancaster City Council spokesperson said.
A by-election to fill the vacancy seat is due to be held on Thursday May 21.
The former councillor was elected in a by-election in 2024.
The Greens remain the largest group on Lancaster City Council with 22 councillors. Labour have 20, the Liberal Democrats have seven, the Conservatives have five, the Morecambe Bay Independents have three, there are two Independents and one Non-Aligned Independent.
A Green group spokesperson said Isabella Metcalf-Riener resigned as she had to move away from the Lancaster District for a new job.
