Lancaster city centre is set for a huge weekend of celebration with events including Lancaster Day, Pride and the Quayfest music festival.
This weekend the city will celebrate its history through the annual Lancaster Day celebrations, including talks, tours, exhibitions, heritage displays and special activities and walkabouts across the city.
There will also be castle activities, museum events, family treasure hunts, re-enactments and much more.
Lancaster Day events run from Friday June 12 to Sunday June 14.

Lancaster Walks, Talks and Tours will be hosting an Ale and Tavern tour during the weekend. Details HERE.
Award-winning Blue Badge Guide, Gregory Wright, will explore the history of some of the city's oldest public houses and breweries, with the chance to stop off and sample a drink or two along the way, including at The Sun Hotel and Bar, Bier & Twist, The Stonewell Tap and The Golden Lion.

Lancaster’s Midsummer Market, on Saturday and Sunday, will be held as part of Wild Roots Nature Fest.
The Quayfest festival also gets under way on St George’s Quay with three days of live music, great food and great times at The George & Dragon, The Wagon & Horses and The Three Mariners. Free entry all weekend, from Friday to Sunday.
Then on Sunday, Lancaster Pride returns to Dalton Square for a day celebrating the LGBTQ+ community, with a parade starting at 11am followed by live entertainment all afternoon. And Beyond Radio will be there!

The FIFA men's football World Cup also kicks off this week.
"From Lancaster Day, to Quayfest to Pride celebrations and live music to markets, history, football and family fun, Lancaster city centre is bursting with things to see and do this weekend!," said a Facebook post from Lancaster BID (Business Improvement District).
