Community football pitches near Morecambe FC are set to reopen for the first time in more than seven years.
The 4G astroturf pitches behind the Mazuma Mobile Stadium will reopen to the public on Monday, September 23.
The two pitches - one for 11-a-side and one for seven-a-side - will be available for people to hire for matches and kickabouts, for use by local youth teams and adult football leagues, and for kids' coaching.
The pitches will be operated by a new Fylde Coast-based company Score by Goldstar, run by James Ward, Spencer Brown and Simon Haydock.
Mr Haydock, who has 27 years of experience running sports facilities, said the pitches will be used for "local youth grassroots football and kids' training, as there is a shortage of facilities in the area".
"We aim to make it affordable for kids to play there," he said.
"We also hope it will become home to the Lancaster and Morecambe youth league during the winter months and we're hoping to sponsor them to help them out."
Around £80,000 has been invested to get the pitches up and running again, after they fell into disrepair following their closure in 2017 when then-owners PMG Leisure went into administration.
Further work will be done on the pitches and floodlights ahead of the reopening, there are also plans to install a refreshments truck and toilets, and in future create two other pitches on the site for 5-a-side.
The land is now owned by former world heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury, whose gym is nearby.
Spencer Brown is also Tyson's manager and runs Gold Star Promotions, an events and sports promotions company.
The Score by Goldstar website says: "Score by Goldstar is a state-of-the-art sport complex which is based behind the Mazuma Mobile Stadium which is the home of Morecambe Football Club.
"We have recently upgraded our football pitches to provide users with world class surfaces, featuring movable goals of various sizes to match the specific training requirements."
