A man from Lancaster has been given a Criminal Behaviour Order, following a string of offences.
Sam Cooper, 32, of Water Street, Lancaster, has been given the CBO as a result of multiple reports of anti-social behaviour including public order offences, shoplifting, criminal damage and hoax calls to police.
Cooper was given the CBO at Preston Crown Court yesterday (March 14) with the following conditions:
Not to enter Sainsburys on Cable Street, Lancaster, LA1 1HH, for any reason.
Not to contact police on the 999 emergency telephone number unless having a genuine and immediate need for emergency police attendance, and are not reporting a previously reported incident.
Not to contact police via the 101 telephone number, or any other non-emergency police telephone number, unless having a genuine need to.
Not to enter Wyngarth Court supported living accommodation, Queen Street, Lancaster, LA1 1LW, for any reason.
Not to enter The Greaves on Greaves Road, Lancaster, LA1 4TZ, for any reason.
PC Simon Jones, of Lancaster Police, said: “Securing this CBO would not have been possible without the support of the public, and particularly the business community of Lancaster.
“I am confident that this CBO will offer safety and reassurance for the community. We take anti-social behaviour very seriously, and I hope this result sends a clear message to those who choose to commit it.”
Anyone who sees Cooper in any of the above locations can report the breach through 101 or reporting online.
Op Centurion is the new county-wide crackdown on anti-social behaviour, led by Lancashire Constabulary and backed by Police and Crime Commissioner Andrew Snowden, delivering his Fighting Crime Plan priority of getting tough on anti-social behaviour, with the support of partners.
