It's been confirmed that filming will soon begin on Series 6 of hit ITV1 crime drama The Bay.
Exact dates have not yet been announced, but filming is expected to start soon, said co-creator and writer Daragh Carville.
ITV announced in November 2025 that they had commissioned a sixth series of The Bay.
Since beginning on ITV1 in 2019, The Bay has gained a huge following as a fictional team of Morecambe police try to solve crimes amid the beautiful and sometimes haunting backdrop of the town and the surrounding area.
The fifth series of The Bay aired on ITV1 in 2025 and starred a cast including Marsha Thomason as DS Jenn Townsend and Dan Ryan as DI Tony Manning.
Scenes for the programme are filmed in Morecambe, and past locations have included the town's police station, the Promenade and Heysham Power Stations.
