Coastguard helicopters above Morecambe searched after worried reports about three children swimming in the bay.
HM Coastguard coordinated the response to a report of concern, made at about 8.20pm on May 26, for three child swimmers in the water off Heysham.
A Coastguard spokesperson said all three were established by 10pm to have returned to land, safe and well.
He said the response included two HM Coastguard helicopters, Morecambe Coastguard Rescue Team, two RNLI lifeboats from Morecambe and Barrow, and the RNLI hovercraft from Morecambe.
