Beyond Radio has been given an exclusive look at the Lancaster on Ice site ahead of its launch.
The giant outdoor ice rink opens in Dalton Square in Lancaster on Friday night with an opening ceremony from 7pm.
Lancaster dance teacher Laura Sandham has helped put the opening show together. It features the cast of the Blackpool ice show and nationally award-winning skaters and is sold out.
The ice rink will then be open to the public from 8pm.
Last year around 90,000 people skated on the rink.
A big wheel and vintage fairground carousel will open on site on December 10.
You can buy tickets for Lancaster On Ice here.
Lancaster On Ice is the brainchild of Hannah and Martin Horner, who run the nearby pub The Borough.
