Police are investigating after a foxes’ den was dug up at Heysham Moss earlier today.
The incident, which is believed to have happened this morning (April 12th), left a fox with serious head injuries on Heysham Moss Nature Reserve, not far from Meldon Road.
The Rural Task Force are now investigating.
The fox was taken to a vet where the animal had to be put down.
