Lancaster Oxfam charity shop set to reopen after closure

The Oxfam shop in Lancaster is set to reopen

A charity shop on a Lancaster high street is set to reopen after being closed for a few months.

The Oxfam shop on Penny Street has been shut since the beginning of the year due to a water leak and staff shortages.

It is set for a grand reopening on Monday May 25, said manager Deborah Parker-Bowles.

The Lancaster shop sells a variety of donated clothes, accessories and homewares.

The charity also has a separate book and music shop on Penny Street which has remained open.

Established in 1942, Oxfam is a global movement of millions of people working together to end poverty.

The Lancaster shop is looking for volunteers.
