Police arrested a man armed with a knife who was making threats at a property in Morecambe.
A Lancashire Police spokesperson said they were called on Saturday June 27 at around 4pm to reports of a concern for welfare of a man at an address on Alexandra Road in the West End.
"Officers attended the address and a cordon was put in place while specially trained officers negotiated with the man," said the spokesperson.
"Negotiation attempts continued while the man, who was armed with a knife and was making threats, remained inside the property.
"At around 7.20pm officers entered the property and the man, aged 37, was arrested on suspicion of affray.
"He has since been released under investigation.
"We are grateful to the community for their support and understanding while we worked to bring this fast moving and dynamic incident to a conclusion."
