A man has been arrested after a hoax report that somebody had jumped from a Lancaster bridge.
Emergency services were called to Carlisle Bridge on Morecambe Road at around 7.40am on Friday.
A Lancashire Police spokesperson said they'd had a report someone had jumped from the bridge. However, it was a hoax call.
The spokesperson said a 23-year-old man was arrested in Lancaster at 8.40am on suspicion of causing a public nuisance.
He is currently in custody.
