The Morecambe MP says there will be pothole repairs on a number of roads that have reached the threshold to be fixed.
Lancashire County Council will facilitate repairs on Market Street to Warton Road, Carnforth; Scotland Road, Carnforth; Redbridge Lane, Silverdale; Port Way, Rothesay Road and Trumacar Lane, Heysham; and Low Road, Halton, by the end of April, said the Morecambe and Lunesdale MP, Lizzi Collinge.
Ms Collinge said: ‘’I know how frustrated we all are by the potholes at the moment, so I have been working behind the scenes to secure repairs for a number of roads.
‘’I have secured a commitment from Lancashire County Council to repair potholes, which reach their threshold, on a number of roads by the end of this month.
‘’I have also written to the council about a range of other defects reported by constituents, including Fairfield Road and Northgate in Morecambe, but I am yet to hear back.
‘’I know this just a start and I will continue to push the council to repair our roads.’’
‘’I am aware that some feel their reports are not being dealt with appropriately or in a timely way and that there are questions about the prioritisation process.
‘’If that is your experience, please do get in touch with me directly so I can raise your case and push for action and answers.’’
