A chicken restaurant in Morecambe town centre that closed its doors two years ago is reopening as a sports bar.
Fusion on Pedder Street will reopen as The Fusion Sports Bar today (March 9).
The restaurant closed in 2022 due to rising costs although its owners said at the time that they hoped to reopen in future.
Now they are reinventing the peri-peri chicken eaterie with TV screens showing major sporting events, as well as serving takeaway food.
"We have been busy working behind the scenes to bring you the perfect spot to relax, enjoy a drink, grab some tasty Fusion food and enjoy all of the major sporting events aired across Sky Sports and TNT," said a post on the Fusion Facebook page.

"Expect brand new TVs, a stocked up bar, enjoy your favourite Fusion takeaway food.
"More restaurant updates coming soon…"
Fusion is run by Chris Donaldson (pictured below) and Marcus Harrington who also run The Royal Bar and Shaker cocktail bar on Marine Road Central. The Fusion takeaway business returned in February after a hiatus.

"Things have been going well with the takeaway so now we've had a different idea with the sports bar," said Chris.
He said that takeaway food would be available to eat-in for now, and they have plans to fully relaunch the restaurant at a later date.
Fusion previously had two other takeaway outlets. The first of these, on Heysham Road in Heysham, opened in December 2018. This was followed by a takeaway on Church Street in Lancaster in 2019.
In 2022, Chris and Marcus decided to close the Heysham and Lancaster premises, and operate solely from the Morecambe outlet, which opened in the former Grove restaurant in May 2021.
In September 2022, Chris spoke to Beyond Radio to explain the reasons for the restaurant closing.
