Bosses at Eden Project Morecambe have announced the creation of ‘crucial senior roles' that will help shape the development of the attraction.
Eden said the charity’s newly created Head of Site will be "responsible for the operational heartbeat of Eden Project Morecambe" and tasked to drive commercial success, champion operational excellence, contribute to strategic planning and support the overall site development.
They said the leadership position will "oversee Eden Project Morecambe’s natural and built environments that shape the £100m world class visitor destination with a focus on unearthing the wonders of the natural world".
They will also be responsible for "designing proactive strategies so that people and communities from Morecambe and Lancashire are engaged throughout, working closely with stakeholders from across the region".
Meanwhile a new Horticulture Curator position will, said Eden, "provide an opportunity for those with specialist horticultural expertise to provide strategic leadership for the gardens, landscapes and living collections".
They will "uphold the charity’s exceptional horticultural standards, championing sustainability and biosecurity".

The two new roles will join John Pye, Project Director, and the growing Eden Project Morecambe team based at Morecambe Town Hall, with candidates expected to bring a proven track record of delivery and innovation.

Eden Project is working in partnership with Lancaster City Council, Lancashire County Council and Lancaster University and is supported by UK Government investment.
Eden said the attraction will be "an immersive visitor destination celebrating the natural rhythms, ecology and heritage of Morecambe Bay" that "will transform the central promenade into a vibrant, year-round destination, featuring striking shell-inspired structures housing immersive environments exploring humanity’s relationship with the natural world".
Eden said the scheme is on track to fully open in 2028.

Fencing has been going up ahead of the long-anticipated start of work on the attraction.
This work on the central Promenade land in Morecambe where the 'Bring Me Sunshine Garden' will be created, began on Tuesday, August 25.

The Eden Project Morecambe Hub opened at the Winter Gardens theatre on August 15.
It is now open every Friday from 10am to 2pm to welcome visitors, answer questions and share project news.
