A new spot for 'breakfast, brunch and lunch' is set to open inside a former Italian restaurant in Morecambe.
Grow Kitchen will open at the former Miaitalia at 4 Queen Street in the town centre, in September.
Billed as 'Morecambe's new brunch spot', it will be run by Rob Fenton, known locally for his existing business Wrap Ninjas Street Food - a Lancaster-based street food and event catering business.
Miaitalia closed in July after more than 12 years.
"I’m extremely pleased to announce that I’m opening a new foodie spot in Morecambe in the coming months," said Mr Fenton, in a post on social media.
"Introducing Grow Kitchen…
"We’re here to help satisfy your breakfast, brunch, lunch and hot/cold drink cravings when you’re out and about in Morecambe.
"We exist to enable you, and others in the community, to eat more good quality, freshly-cooked and locally sourced/grown food – without having to sacrifice on taste, excitement and enjoyment. Whether you like a meaty meal or prefer vegetarian and vegan eating, we’ve got you covered.
"We plan to bring something new and exciting to Morecambe’s food scene.
"We’ll be located at 4 Queen Street, the site Miaitalia recently occupied. I’ve been lucky to develop a great relationship with David (Waddington) from Miaitalia and Miogelato.
"We plan to open early in September 2025.
"And if I look familiar, you may know me from my existing business Wrap Ninjas Street Food! I know we’ve got many lovely fans, customers and followers in Morecambe. If you’re one of them, thank you! You can expect the same commitment to quality, taste and friendly customer service from Grow Kitchen too."
Miaitalia moved into the premises in 2022, after nine years on the Byepass Road at Bolton-le-Sands.
