A person was cut from a vehicle after a road crash on the M6 near Lancaster.
Emergency services were called to the scene just after 12.10am on Monday after two vehicles travelling on the southbound carriageway between Junction 35 and 34 collided.
Three fire engines from Morecambe, Carnforth and Bolton-le-Sands attended.
"Fire crews extricated one casualty from a vehicle using a reciprocation saw and the casualty was handed over in to the care of North West Ambulance Service," said a Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson.
"Crews were in attendance for one hour and twenty minutes."
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said it was a minor injury collision and the carriageway reopened at 4.30am.
