Police are investigating after a sexual assault in Lancaster.
Officers were called after the assault on the path which links the back of the Asda Car Park to Salt Ayre Sports Centre, at around 8.30am to 8.45am on June 19.
A police spokesperson said the victim, a female, was walking through the footpath when she was passed by a man who reached out and assaulted her.
The suspect is described as a white man, aged between 50 and 60 and of a large build, with big shoulders and a fat stomach. He was around 6ft in height.
He was wearing a black baseball cap, black long sleeved waterproof jacket which was zipped all the way up, dark blue cargo shorts which were down to his knees with white socks up to the middle of his calves.
He also had a black chunky pack back on and was wearing sunglasses.
The suspect is believed to have walked off towards the direction of the cycle track.
