Police say they caught drivers travelling at twice the speed limit during an enforcement operation on a road in Lancaster.
Responding to complaints from residents in the south of the city, they conducted Community Roadwatch speed enforcement on Newlands Road on Monday evening.
PC Simon Jones from Lancaster Area Police said: ‘’We captured 13 vehicles exceeding the speed limit by more than five miles an hour, and there were two motorists who were travelling at over double the speed limit for the road.’’
‘’This is clearly unacceptable and we will continue to address these concerns in the South Lancaster area.
‘’Please watch your speed and keep our community safe.’’
