Police have seized a car in Morecambe after they stopped a motorist they said was trying to evade prosecution by using fake details.
Morecambe Area Police released an image of an Audi A3 which they stopped on Marine Road East in the town on Thursday.
"The owner of this Audi A3 thought they were being clever by registering and insuring their vehicle using fraudulent address details in order to evade prosecution for multiple motoring offences across the country," said a police spokesperson.
"Staff from the Safer Roads Unit identified this and managed to stop the vehicle on Marine Road East, Morecambe yesterday.
"The driver had travelled up from London to visit a friend and was disqualified from driving. The vehicle was unsafe to be on the roads with the threads showing on the tyres.
"The vehicle was seized and the driver was reported to the courts accordingly for his many misdeeds.
"He had a rather lengthy train journey back to London to consider the consequences of his actions and will be before a court in due course."
