The founder of a Lancaster charity was trackside in Paris to congratulate the organisation's ambassador Keely Hodgkinson as she became Olympic champion.
Barrie Wells MBE was one of the first to celebrate with Keely after she took gold in the women's 800m on Monday in France.
The BBC cameras caught the special moment as the 22-year-old from Atherton, Lancashire, ran over to hug Barrie at the Stade de France moments after her triumph.
The Olympic champion is one of several top athletes who are ambassadors for The Barrie Wells Trust, based at Dalton Square in Lancaster, which provides special memories for seriously and terminally ill children.
"What an absolutely brilliant and assured performance from our ambassador Keely Hodgkinson in the Olympic 800m final in Paris," said a post on The Barrie Wells Trust social media.
"It was wonderful to witness the historic moment as Keely joined an elite group of British women to achieve gold at the Olympics.
"Our chairman Barrie Wells MBE was trackside to congratulate and celebrate with her when she secured that gold medal.
"Well done Keely, it truly was a night to remember."

Millionaire sport fanatic Mr Wells helped Keely with funding to train for the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, where she won a silver medal.
Keely had not been funded by British Athletics at the time, as amid the Covid-19 pandemic it did not add anyone to its World Class Performance Programme in 2020.
Mr Wells has founded, owned and managed insurance operations in both the UK and overseas, including Prospero Direct, which later became AXA Direct; and Premierline Direct, and founded The Barrie Wells Trust in 2008.
Other athlete ambassadors at The Barrie Wells Trust include Olympic champion Jessica Ennis-Hill, and two-time world heptathalon champion and Olympian Katarina Johnson-Thompson is a patron of the charity. 'KJT' and Barrie are pictured below, image credit: Barrie Wells Trust.

The trust provides unique and exciting experiences for children through the Box4Kids scheme, which enables seriously ill children to enjoy sporting and entertainment events from the comfort of executive boxes.
