Striking aerial images have been revealed showing 100 people recreating Eric Morecambe's iconic 'Bring Me Sunshine' pose to help celebrate the great comedian's centenary.
The joyful celebration of Eric Morecambe on the town's South Beach was for the performance art and photography installation Eric On The Bay.
The newly released aerial images offer a unique perspective on one of the standout community events from the Eric Morecambe 100th birthday celebrations held this year.
Captured by drone from directly overhead, one image shows dramatic angular 'shadow Erics' skipping across the beach, echoing the simple figures found in prehistoric cave art.
The installation was timed to coincide with the low, early evening light to create the distinctive elongated shadows that form the centrepiece of the shot.
A series of supporting images show the event coming together.
The meticulously choreographed event on July 14 was conceived by creative duo Anthony Haddon and Rich Berry, who coordinated the installation with the support of a dedicated team of volunteers.

The project was funded by Morecambe Town Council as part of its year-long Eric Morecambe 100 celebrations, marking what would have been the locally born comedy legend's centenary.
"Morecambe lies on a comedy ley line, and we wanted to bring people together to draw up this comic energy and be surreal," said Anthony Haddon and Rich Berry.
"Everyone who took part in the event totally bought in to the idea to do something ridiculous in public and the spirit in which they did was a beautiful thing to behold. It’s what Eric and Ern would have wanted. This won't just be a legacy for Morecambe... it'll be a leg-up-sy!"

Councillor Lee Bradbury, chairperson of Morecambe Town Council’s Festivals and Events Committee, said: "This project not only captured the affection people have for Eric in Morecambe and across the region, but also reminded us of the simple joy a little bit of silliness can bring to our everyday lives.
"We’d like to extend a big thank you to everyone who came to take part and to Anthony and Rich for bringing this wonderfully imaginative idea to life."
Beyond Radio's Phil McGrath was one of the Erics who participated on the day.

In addition to the aerial photography, participants from across the North West – including police officers, and children as young as seven – had their picture taken recreating the famous pose alongside Eric's statue on Morecambe Promenade.
A flicker reel celebrating the day can be also viewed on the town council's website HERE.
