Police are investigating after a van made off from the scene following a four vehicle crash on the Bay Gateway in Morecambe.
A police spokesperson initially said they were called to the incident involving a van and two cars at 4.08pm on Thursday.
The spokesperson said on Thursday afternoon that the incident was damage only, there were no injuries and it was ongoing as vehicles were being moved.
Later after Beyond Radio asked for clarification, a police spokesperson said: "We received a report of a minor injury collision at 4:08pm yesterday.
"Following enquiries at the scene, it is reported that a black Mercedes van had made off from the scene.
"The drivers of three other vehicles involved remained at the scene.
"Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information that can assist is asked to call 101 quoting log 1042 of 25th June."
