Emergency services were called to a crash on the M6 between Lancaster and Preston.
Two vehicles - a BMW car and a Toyota truck which ended up on its side - were involved, said Lancashire Police, who were called at around 7.45am on Friday.
"Thankfully it appears no one is seriously injured," said a police spokesperson.
Lanes were closed on the M6 southbound between Junctions 33 and 32 following the collision.
National Highways: North West reported delays of up to an hour following the incident, with four miles of congestion.
All lanes have since reopened.
