Firefighters have been called out to a milk tanker on fire near Carnforth.
The road was closed in both directions on Wednesday as crews tackled the HGV fire between Carnforth and Over Kellet.
Crews from Bolton-le-Sands and Carnforth fire stations were called out at 8.12pm.
"We closed the road in both directions to allow firefighting and a safe working area," said a Carnforth Fire Station spokesperson.
"We used a hosereel jet, lighting, small tools and a thermal imaging camera to help put the fire out.
"We returned to station at 10.45pm."
