Motorists travelling on the M6 over the bank holiday weekend are being urged to take care due to an 'abnormal load'.

The heavy vehicle is due to move from Heysham and along the M6 this Saturday morning.

"We're advised of 530-tonne abnormal load operations from 6am on Sat 3 and Sat 10 May," said a spokesperson for National Highways: North West.

"Heysham docks to Coalburn in Scotland via M6 northbound from J34.

"Care and patience when overtaking in lane three."
