The former MP for Morecambe and Lunesdale has joined other dignitaries in Ukraine as events were held to mark the fourth anniversary of the war.
David Morris was pictured with Vitali Klitschko and Boris Johnson as European leaders, politicians and VIPs came together in Ukraine this week in solidarity and remembrance of the tens of thousands who have died since the Russian invasion in 2022.
Klitschko is the mayor of Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, and a former world heavyweight boxing champion.
Mr Morris, posting on his Facebook page on Thursday, said: "It was really good to bump into my old friend Vitali Klitschko, the mayor of Kyiv.
"We first met in 2014 at the beginning of Russian aggression. He was in good spirits and joked we had both ‘gone grey’.
"I wished him well from us all in Morecambe and Lunesdale."
On Tuesday, Mr Morris posted a photo of himself with former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, saying: "With my friend Boris Johnson who was steadfast in standing against (Russian President Vladimir) Putin's aggression when in office. It’s time to have leadership like this again."

The former Conservative MP also posted: "On the fourth anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine I am here again in Kyiv supporting my friends and the Ukrainian people for the third year running. Let’s hope this war will come to an end soon."

Mr Morris, who was Morecambe and Lunesdale MP from 2010 to 2024, was attending a conference in his role as former UK leader and vice president, and now life member of the Council of Europe.
He has been visiting Ukraine since 2014, the time of the War of Donbas when Russian-backed fighters initiated an uprising against the Ukrainian government.
