Have your say on Lancaster’s Lancashire Police Museum

Bosses of the Lancashire Police Museum at Lancaster Castle are asking the public for their thoughts on what they’d like to see at the attraction in the future.

You can give your views through a short survey, which you can fill in here

A spokesperson for the museum said: ‘’Whether you have visited or not, they would love your feedback.

‘’The Police Museum is a free resource we have for the public, chock full of Lancashire’s Policing history, and is always looking to improve its offering to create experiences and exhibits want to see.

‘’Want more talks? More children’s events? More of Lancashire’s infamous cases? Let us know!

‘’It will take just a couple of minutes to fill out but your responses are invaluable in shaping the future of the museum.’’

The Lancashire Police Museum opened in June 2022 and boasts an impressive display of information and exhibits.

The museum boasts 16 exhibits detailing the history of Lancashire Police. Visitors can learn about police training, forensic development and recruitment and enjoy interactive displays on crime and custody as well as the opportunity to see what they’d look like in police uniform.

It also hosts education visits for schools, colleges and university students and offer free talks on various crime-related subjects.

Free to enter, the museum is open on Thursdays and Fridays from 10.30 to 12.30 and 1.30-4pm, with some extra days during school holidays. It is staffed by volunteers.

The attraction recently welcomed its 100,000th visitor.
