A man has appeared in court charged with voyeurism and drug offences after police were called to Salt Ayre Sports Centre.
Police were called to the complex on Salt Ayre Lane at around 8.20pm on Tuesday, June 30, following a report that a man was acting suspiciously in the changing rooms.
Officers attended and a man in his 40s from Heysham was arrested.
He was interviewed and after consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service he was charged.
Paul Stonell, 44, of Roeburndale Crescent, Heysham, has been charged with voyeurism and possession of a Class A and a Class B drug.
He appeared at Lancaster Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Thursday, July 2) and was remanded in custody.
The next hearing is on July 22.
