A recruitment company and a security firm from Lancaster have both won at an annual countywide business awards.
Eventus Recruitment Group and FGH Security triumphed at the Lancashire Business View Red Rose Awards, held on Thursday at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.
Eventus, specialists in recruiting legal, finance and HR professionals based at Aalborg Place, won the Professional Services Award.
FGH, who were finalists in three categories, won Employer of the Year.
"What a night…we only went and won," said a post on the Eventus Facebook page.
"To be a finalist at the Red Rose Awards is a wonderful honour, but to be named the winner of the Professional Services Award is the icing on the cake.
"We were over the moon with the judges' feedback and it sums up our passion for what we do perfectly.
"(They said) 'From the moment they walked in we were blown away by the passion, care and how well they treat their team and clients. There’s a real sense of community and doing for others, which clearly stood out. There’s a clear strategy and Eventus is putting infrastructure in place to make that happen.'
"A huge thank you to our amazing team, clients, candidates and judges – we couldn’t have achieved this without you."
FGH, a top security firm based at White Cross in Lancaster with offices also in Liverpool, London and Manchester, were also finalists for the Large Business Award and the Commitment to Skills Award.
An FGH spokesperson said: "In 2024, we were named (in the) Sunday Times Best Large Places to Work, after previously being awarded the year prior. We have also appeared on the Glassdoor Top 50 Employers in the UK and featured in E2E100 Job Creation Track, coming 43rd out of the UK’s 100 fastest-growing employers.
"With over 20 awards in the last five years, this demonstrates our values of Keep People Safe and Be Great Today Better Tomorrow through our continuous focus on our team’s development."
The Red Rose Awards celebrate Lancashire business, commerce and industry.
The event was attended by more than 1,000 members of the Lancashire business community.
