Morecambe-based TV series The Bay has been nominated for a top television award.
Series 5 of the ITV1 crime serial is up for 'Best Drama' at the 2025 Royal Television Society North West Awards.
The Bay will be up against 'The Stolen Girl' on Disney+, 'This City is Ours' from the BBC and 'Missing You' on Netflix, which have also been shortlisted in the category.
The awards will be presented at a ceremony held in Manchester on November 21.
The full list of nominees can be found HERE and include other big TV names from the North West including 'Coronation Street', 'Hollyoaks', 'Countdown' and 'Waterloo Road'.
'Rip Off Britain' and 'BBC Morning Live', which both feature Lancaster solicitor Gary Rycroft as a legal expert, have also been shortlisted.
More than five million people watched the latest series of The Bay broadcast earlier this year, according to official figures.
The Bay has gained a huge following as a fictional team of police try to solve crimes amid the beautiful and sometimes haunting backdrop of Morecambe and the surrounding area.
In the latest series, the Morecambe Murder Investigation Unit, led by DI Tony Manning (Dan Ryan) and with family liaison officer Jenn Townsend (Marsha Thomason), investigated the murder of a young student whose body was found at Glasson Dock.
As in previous series, the episodes featured many local filming locations, with scenes shot at places including Morecambe Promenade, Sunderland Point, and for the first time, inside Heysham Nuclear Power Station.
