The manager of a pub in Bare is taking on a gruelling week-long running challenge ending with a trek up the highest mountain in England.
Nigel Pearson from the Dog and Partridge pub on Bare Lane is tackling seven 10km runs in seven days, then on the final day will walk up Scafell Pike in the Lake District National Park as well.
He is raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Nigel will be joined by Aimee Bailey, one of the team leaders at the pub, during the Scafell Pike part of the challenge.
He has also been accompanied on one of his runs by Dan Taylor, a regular at the D&P.
The Macmillan charity provides services for people living with cancer, raising money to provide vital cancer services, research and campaign to achieve better cancer care.
