Three local businessmen have taken charge of a nightclub in Lancaster and will be opening it under a new name.
Tim Barbary, Rick Backhouse and Avinash Nandwani have recently acquired the lease for the Dalton Square premises previously known as the Glow Rooms, and will reopen it as Vibe Lancaster during the week commencing October 10, subject to work being complete.
Glow Rooms closed in June following the death of a man after an incident outside the club.
The new team in charge at Vibe Lancaster said they will "do our utmost to make it a safe venue".
"Our aim as local businessmen is to provide a fun, secure and safe environment for students and young people alike," said Mr Barbary.
"We will be making changes and we will do our utmost to make it a safe venue."
Mr Barbary is well-known in the local area for his Morecambe businesses the Brittlestar Wine Bar, Bay Camera and Communications Ltd and Bay EV.
Mr Backhouse owns Sydney's restaurant in Market Square in Lancaster.
Together with Mr Nandwani, their company is called ART Investments Ltd trading as Vibe Lancaster.
Tickets for the opening Saturday night will be on sale soon.
