A new meditation centre in Lancaster city centre is offering a peaceful place dedicated to discovering inner happiness.
The Kadampa Meditation Centre has opened at 31-35 China Street as a home for regular meditation classes, as well as a shop with gifts and books.
The centre, in the former Nami Sushi restaurant, opened in the spring after a refurbishment aiming to "construct a peaceful place that is accessible to everyone".
"Welcome to our new book and gift shop at KMC Lancaster," said a post on the Kadampa Meditation Centre Facebook page.
"We’re excited to open our new space filled with many books giving practical guidance to Buddhist wisdom for modern daily life, inspirational gifts, natural handmade soaps and calming incense for mindfulness and daily wellbeing.
"Whether you’re beginning your spiritual journey or looking for a meaningful gift, we’d love for you to visit and explore our collection.

"Come to discover wisdom, calm, and inspiration on our Sunday morning Happiness Hour classes with guided meditations, and Monday evening meditation class using Buddha's ancient wisdom to solve our inner problems."
The KMC Facebook page says their Happiness Hour is a "peaceful hour dedicated to discovering happiness from within" and says people can "enjoy guided meditations and an inspiring teaching on how to bring positive attitudes and spiritual perspectives into daily life - transforming every moment into a path to true happiness".
The KMC website says the centre was founded by renowned Buddhist meditation master Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, with resident teacher Rosy McDaniel.
It says: "The centre is located in central Lancaster and provides a peaceful and relaxed environment in which people can discover the benefits of meditation and modern Buddhism for themselves.
"We hold regular classes and courses in Lancaster where you can experience the benefits of meditation and deepen your understanding of Buddha’s teachings. Everyone is welcome."
