Police have warned residents to be on their guard after a man was reported to be trying doors of houses and garages in Bare.
The incidents occured last night (October 29) and a police officer said they'd also had reports of a burglary in the same area around the same time.
PC Katie Foster asked residents be vigilant around their homes and ensure doors are locked, and keep an eye on their neighbours' premises.
Any concerns can be reported on 101 or 999 in the case of an emergency, and information can be emailed to 8161@lancashire.police.uk
