Mounted Police made three arrests in Lancaster earlier this week in a day of frontline action.
Horses Hutton, Barley, Croston, Rosehill and Banks were on patrol with their mounted officers, greeting members of the public, and undertaking proactive stop checks.
This led to two wanted persons being arrested.
They also stopped a suspicious male on a bike, followed by a stop search which resulted in drugs being seized, and the arrest of a male on suspicion of possession with intent to supply after a quantity of Class A drugs and other paraphernalia were located.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Mounted Police said: ‘’This highlights just how important stop search powers are, alongside having officers and horses out on the frontline protecting our communities.’’
