A fundraising campaign is underway to support a free live music festival coming to Lancaster this summer.
Along the Watchtower is set to take place at Lancaster Castle over two weekends in August, and will be hosted by the Duchy of Lancaster and the Melodrome Mobile Stage, featuring many Lancaster bands, including local favourites Morton Betts already booked to appear.
The festival is being promoted by live music promotion company, BaccyJ & Folio productions, run by Jack Boynton and Faye Oliver, who are now undertaking a challenge to raise funds for the event.
Jack is cycling the Way of the Roses coast to coast route, in a medieval suit of armour, mirroring the fact that the festival in set in a castle.
The ‘coast to coast’ route stretches 175 miles from Morecambe to Bridlington, with Jack planning to wear the suit, which weighs 37.5kg, for the whole journey.
Their fundraising target is £1,000 and you can donate here
Along the Watchtower takes place on August,8th 9th, 15th & 16th.
